Former SNL host and star of “The Hebrew Hammer,” Ed Koch died at the spry age of 88.

“This chicken is skinny, has scrapes… and hairs.”

While always finding work, Koch found himself typecast as a New York nebbish who always asked “How’m I doin’?”  I guess he thought a catch phrase was going to land him some regular work.

While he landed prized roles on shows like “Gimme a Break!” and stole the show in “The Muppets take Manhattan,” he always seemed to be relegated to character acting.  Never the lead.

One gig always led to another though.  His appearance on “My Two Dads,” led him to a spot in “Where’s Elvis This Week?”  That led him to an episode of “Sex & the City” which, in turn, led to a spot on the fantasy program “Hannity & Colmes.”

No matter where you would turn, he would be there, usually asking “How’m I donin’?”

In his spare time, he became mayor of New York City, lifted the city from the burning wreck that it was in the 70s and yadda yadda yadda.

This hit goes to: Mary!  The Girl on Fire is now in a four way (dirty) tie for the lead!

It is amazing that we’ve had 18 hits so far and no one had broken away into the land of 40 points.  Talk about your redistribution of wealth!

Happy pooling,
